Midland – Creative 360 hosts jazz singer Lois Hartzler in concert on Sunday, August 1. Hartzler’s battle with a brain tumor during the past 2 years has kept her from performing recently, but her cancer is now in remission and she is celebrating by returning to the stage with this concert.
She will sing, tell stories of jazz greats Carmen McRae, Billie Holliday, and Lena Horne, and salute the songwriters, musicians, jazz radio stations, and jazz writers who keep this music alive, including her former performing partners Jeff Kressler and Bernie Meltsner on piano, Randy Groves on guitar, Ed Fedewa on bass, Larry Ochiltree on drums, Robert Lindahl on trombone, Earl Haynes on harmonica, and John Nichol on Saxophone.
This jazz concert is a part of ArtFest55, Creative 360’s summer festival celebrating the creativity of people 55 and older. All ticket proceeds benefit Creative 360.
