The Acting Shakespeare class is designed for actors who want to work on performing Shakespeare in a way that is clearer for the audience. We will move at a pace comfortable for a beginner-to-intermediate level Shakespeare performer. (This class is not geared for those who have never been in a play.) Each student will be assigned a monologue and will work through it several times using First Folio techniques, then move beyond structure to find the relatable story underneath. Actors will leave this class understanding the importance and beauty of Shakespeare’s incredible words. Pre-register by 3/29. $20 drop-in after attendance in first class.
Each student will receive a 20 minute, one-on-one session of on your feet work to be scheduled.
