LIGHT UP THE WINTER WITH ‘CABARET LIGHT’

Cabaret Light

Cabaret LightFriday, February 2 is Groundhog Day. People across the U.S. and Canada will eagerly watch for groundhog Punxsutawney Phil’s prediction of the number of winter days we still have to endure or enjoy. No matter the result, Creative 360 will offer up musical entertainment focused on the lighter days to come. Cabaret Light, hosted by Laura Brigham, will feature local performers and visiting professionals. The show starts at 7:00 p.m.

“As the winter darkness drags on, and so many fall prey to seasonal depression, I thought this was a perfect time to come together with music and let a little light in,” said Brigham.

“We’ve brought together some incredible performers who will sing songs about sunlight, moonlight, and most importantly, songs that make you feel light.”

The evening will include the world premiere of a song written by Michigan composer and performer Claire Francis Sullivan. The song was composed specifically for this night, this theme, and this audience. Familiar titles will include: “Beautiful” by Carole King, “At Last I See the Light” from the movie Tangled, and “Pure Imagination” from Willy Wonka. There will also be a special appearance by Passion Theatre Group’s Next to Normal cast performing their finale “There Will Be Light.”

The complete cast of performers include: Laura Brigham, Brandon Chu, Katie Dodd, Kelley Gray, Gina Kearly, Claudia Marsh, April Millward, Alena Ramos, Ann Russell-Lutenske, Matt Schramm, Tony Serra, Claire Francis Sullivan, Stephan JoQuan Wilson, Isaac Wood, and a special guest appearance by the Passion Theatre cast of Next to Normal.

Admission is $12 prepaid or $15 at the door. Reserve your tickets by calling 989-837-1885 or online at www.becreative360.org. Bring your own beverage.
