YES WE CAN! LUNCHEON HONORS BRUCE RAYCE

On Friday, March 15, 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Creative 360 will host a Yes We Can! luncheon in honor of community leader and volunteer Bruce Rayce. Guests will enjoy a delicious lunch catered by NADA, and pay tribute to this energetic man who makes such a difference in our community. Pre-register by calling 989-837-1885 no later than Monday, March 11. Space is limited. $30

Bruce Rayce can be found volunteering in a variety of capacities in our community. He is a voice of Santa during the “Santa Calling” program, drives for Senior Services, and serves on a variety of committees for First United Methodist Church. He is also Lt. Governor of Kiwanis Division 10, Michigan District, and is hugely instrumental in Midland’s reputation as the “World’s Greatest Tennis Town.”

Each year, during the Dow Tennis Classic, Rayce houses players and also serves as transportation coordinator for each out-of-town player. In this capacity, Rayce learns each player’s name and the country they’re from. His welcoming demeanor is a big reason so many players consider Midland to be their favorite tennis tournament.

Yes We Can! Luncheon Soirees are scheduled through May to honor the following people:

March 22: Russell Thayer – Artist and Educator

April 5: Jean R. Beach – Artist and Writer – Celebration of her life.

May 10: Annual Art Sweetheart Luncheon honoring Junia Doan – Community Leader, Visionary and Philanthropist

About Yes We Can!
Six years ago, Creative 360 developed an innovative program designed to recognize and honor the contributions of people who are 80 and over in a way that respects their knowledge and taps into their legacy of creativity. This amazing segment of our population has a wealth of experience and knowledge to share. The Yes We Can! program gives people of all ages ongoing opportunities to engage with, and learn from, this dynamic group of senior presenters.

Since the program began in the winter of 2014, Creative 360 has celebrated more than 300 Great Lakes Bay artists, scholars, scientists, and community leaders. These octogenarians inspire everyone to be more active and to realize we can all be contributing community members at any age!

Thanks to The Barstow Foundation, NADA Northwood University, and Space Studios for their generous sponsorship of this year’s Yes We Can! program. For more information about Yes We Can!, go to Creative 360’s website at becreative360.org or call 989-837-1885.

If you know of someone who is (or will soon be) 80 or above and should be considered as part of future Yes We Can! programs, please contact Creative 360 at 989-837-1885 or by email at creed@becreative360.org.
